As February rolls around, it's not just another month – in the world of Feng Shui, it's the start of a brand-new year.
Every year, the energies in our environments change, bringing new opportunities for prosperity, health, and harmony – or, in some cases, the need for some extra care to counteract less favourable influences. This is where your remedies come into play.
If you’ve worked with a Feng Shui consultant before, they would have provided you with specific remedies to balance the shifting energy. As we step into the new year, now is the time to activate those remedies and ensure your home or workspace supports the best possible energy flow for 2024!
Salt Water Cures: Clearing Negative Energy 🌿💧
A effective way to neutralise stagnant or negative energy is to set up Salt Water Cures. Even if you’re new to Feng Shui and haven’t had a consultation, you can still benefit from Salt Water Cures. If there’s a corner of your home that feels dark, heavy, or stuck, placing a Salt Water Cure can help clear that energy and create more balance. Trust your instincts! If a space feels off, it probably needs some TLC.
How to Create Your Own Salt Water Cure:
Gather your supplies:
A container or jar (preferably glass or ceramic, but definitely not metal)
Coarse sea salt
Six brass coins (traditional I-Ching coins are great, but any brass coins will do)
Purified water
Now, let’s bring it all together:
1. Ground your energy: Before you start, take a moment to centre yourself. Try meditating for a few minutes to calm your mind and set a positive intention for the process.
2. Fill the jar halfway with Epsom salt: The salt is the foundation of your cure, helping to absorb and neutralise negative energy.
3. Place six brass coins on top of the salt: Arrange the coins in a circular pattern, making sure the yang side (the one with more characters) is facing up. This activates the protective energy of the coins.
4. Pour purified water into the jar: Fill it up, but don’t put a lid on – you want the water to evaporate slowly over time.
5. Place the jar in areas of concern: Ideally, you’ll place Salt Water Cures in areas where your Feng Shui consultant has identified challenging annual energies. If you haven’t had a consultation, it's time to feel into your intuition and place the jars in rooms or corners that feel stagnant or heavy to you.
And that’s it! Your Salt Water Cure is ready to get to work, quietly purifying the energy in your space.
Remember, Feng Shui isn’t just about decor – it’s about creating an environment that supports your well-being and invites positive energy into every aspect of your life. By aligning with the fresh energy of the new year, you’re setting yourself up for a year of harmony, abundance, and growth.
Wishing you a beautifully balanced and prosperous 2025!
